The chant rang round the nation

Give our children what we didn’t have
That way we know they wont starve

An Academy then if it is to be
Maybe for you but not for me

They teach the three Rs to affluent kids
But leave the masses on the skids

But maybe they’ll turn out as Tory Mps
And go to the to with the greatest of ease

But can we afford this experiment
Even though the thought is well meant

When its cuts today and every day
They’ll implement them come what may

But this could turn out as a veritable Hell
Creating poets who actually spell
