Doom and gloom

Everything is doom and gloom
The Government has lost the plot
We’ll need more drugs to get us by
We can’t object if we’re all high

Consult the people on the cuts
But what if they reject them all
What can we do if we cannot
rob Peter to pay Paul?

Do they really know what’s what
Or are they just in a guddle
The economy has collapsed
And the Government is in trouble

The old solutions come round again
No lessons learned from the past
Lets make the same mistakes once more
Maybe this will be the last
